Genesis

This is my first blog entry.  What's a good way to start?  Truth is a good place to start usually.

Years ago at the Bridge in Lionville, PA, I heard guest speaker Bart Campolo paraphrase Jesus' words in Matthew 22:37-39.  It has stuck with me ever since as a basic truth to live by, a credo, if you will  -

"Love God, Love People"

    I've alsoe said there are only 3 rules to youth ministry:

    Love God, Love the Kids, Learn how to tap dance.

    hahaha, i almost just posted that i have this friend carl who had that as his youth ministry motto and we adopted it at our church, especially while we were youth leader hunting.

    WoW - I feel validated! 'cept i'm not sure abt the tap dance thing - i am not a good dancer - i mean that in all senses of the metaphor :-)
